The starting points are subtle, intermediate and functional elements of the cinema industry, such as subtitles and dubbing used by artists for appropriation and diversion. HOLY FIRE - Art of the Digital Age - 18>30 APRIL 08 - EXHIBITION/iMAL/BRUSSELS

Holy Fire - Art of the Digital Age is a collective exhibition featuring a unique panel of digital artworks created in the last years by internationally known new media artists, and coming from galleries and collections from around the world (USA, Europe, Russia).

Chapter 1 - The Discovery at Laboral, Spain

The installation "Past Forward" by Nicolas Dufranne, Damien Gernay and Felix Luque is premiered in Brussels (Ixelles), Chapelle de Boondael, from May 16 to 26. More here.

double_skin: Nathalie Fougeras's residency

Beginning of April, Nathalie was in residence to work on double_skin, a project of mixed reality, an installation-performance where the bodies and the spaces are explored together through an interactive interface where a live sound composition is played via an avatar on Second Life. Past Forward: final residency in March

The installation "Past Forward" by Nicolas Dufranne, Damien Gernay and Felix Luque has its final production residency at iMAL before its first exhibition in Brussels - Ixelles, Chappelle de Boondaal - in May 2009.

Dark Matter at V2 Test_Lab, 12/3/2009

After a 2nd residency at iMAL beginning of 2009, Tom Heene and his colleagues artists, developers and scientists present their project Dark Matter at V2, Rotterdam. The project is supported by the Art&D programme of Interdisciplinary Institute for Broadband Technology. Project partners are the Center for User Experience Research - CUO (KUL), WICA (UGent), NODEBOX and LAHAAG.

Oups! is Grand Prize at Japan Media Arts Festival

Yacine Sebti at Media City, Seoul

from 12/09 to 05/11/2008, Yacine will show Jump! at Media City, the 5th International Media Art Biennal of Seoul. Antoine Schmitt is also there showing its Facade Life work created at iMAL in October 2007

Martini Ground Zero at Netwerk Centrum, Aalst

from 10/11 to 15/12/2007, Martini Ground Zero, the timelapse movie and web project about the destruction of Brussels Centre International Rogier by Yves Bernard will be exhibited with Tourism, the project of Beatrijs Albers & Reggy Timmermans on La Torre Latinoamericana, Mexico.
